1. Acceptance
By using GeckoPin, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the hosted service.
2. The Service
GeckoPin is a local-first visual board that runs in your browser. The hosted service includes the public website, the web app experience, and the hosted relay used to connect compatible AI assistants and MCP clients to a live GeckoPin board tab.
GeckoPin does not require a user account to use the app. We may change service features over time.
3. Your Use of GeckoPin
You may use GeckoPin only in compliance with applicable law and these terms.
- Do not misuse, overload, disrupt, reverse engineer, or interfere with the hosted service.
- Do not attempt to bypass security, rate limits, access controls, or technical restrictions.
- Do not use GeckoPin to facilitate unlawful, abusive, infringing, or harmful activity.
- Do not use automated traffic in a way that degrades the experience for other users.
4. Your Content and External Services
You are responsible for the content you create, import, paste, link, or send through GeckoPin, and for your use of any third-party AI assistant, MCP client, image host, linked website, or map service.
Third-party services operate under their own terms and privacy policies. GeckoPin is not responsible for those external services or for how they handle your data.
5. Local-First Behavior
GeckoPin is designed so your board content stays in your browser during ordinary use. The hosted relay is intended to route live requests between your AI client and your browser tab, not to act as the primary store of your board content.
You are responsible for your own exports, backups, browser storage, and device security.
6. Availability and Changes
GeckoPin is provided on an as-available basis. We may modify, suspend, restrict, or discontinue any part of the hosted service at any time, including relay access, integrations, features, or availability.
We may also update these terms by publishing a revised version on this site.
7. Open Source and Intellectual Property
GeckoPin includes open-source software and third-party components that may be governed by their own licenses. Except for rights granted under applicable open-source licenses, we retain all rights in the hosted service, branding, and site content.
These terms do not transfer ownership of your content to us.
8. No Warranty
GeckoPin is provided "as is" and "as available" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, compatibility with every AI client, or fitness for any particular purpose.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, business, goodwill, or opportunities arising out of or related to your use of GeckoPin.
10. Termination
We may suspend or block access to the hosted service if we reasonably believe your use violates these terms, creates security risk, causes harm, or exposes us or others to liability.
11. Changes to These Terms
If we update these terms, we will post the revised version here and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of GeckoPin after the update means you accept the revised terms.
